Fin is always mistaken for a girl. Sometimes i correct it somtimes i dont. So far he hasnt expressed that he doesnt like it or that he wants to change his appearance so it's all good as it is.
I am convinced that dressing him the way I do (or he does himself) takes nothing away from his boyhood. No it even adds to it!
Why is it that I walk into H&M (add any major brand here) and the girls side is all colourful, imaginative, diverse and the boys side is always plain, boring and "cool". It's basically only socially acceptable for boys to wear dark blue jeans and a t-shirt but girls have so much more to choose from, so many accessories, so many colours, so many different fabrics&textures, so many fun things. I don't believe we should limit our boys to dark blue jeans and looking "cool". I believe that there's as much imagination, phantasy, playfulness and colour in our boys as in our girls. So why not show it through clothing?
DISCLAIMER : Fin has never really minded what he is wearing. Only recently he started to tell me exactly what he wants to wear. Down to his shoes. Mainly he goes for wide hippie pants or no pants at all, loose poncho from the girls aisle and any colourful t-shirt.
Socks - No fan.
Shoes - usually barefoot.
Hair - long.
Pants - often just a diaper. He loves his diapers 😂
Ps post might be looking familiar to some as I posted something similar 2 years ago 🤙🏽🌈🌻
