Not a special place to eat per se, Kappabashi is the place to go if you're looking for kitchen equipments and supplies - from chopsticks, bowls, knives, cutleries, to kitchen staff uniforms.
Kappabashi is accesible via Tawaramachi station, one stop next to Asakusa. Right after the station exit, the 634-meter tall Sky Tree tower will greet you.
The area is named after Kappa, in Shinto believed as one of water deities. Depicted as humanoid form with scaly reptilian skin, a beak, a shell, a bald patch and a body about the size of a human child, Kappa has been used to scare children away from rivers and lakes.
