Square Root Sodas are all vegan, and are to my mind the perfect non-alcoholic drink to have at home. On a personal level I am always on the hunt for interesting non-alcholic drinks, as alcohol does not sit too well with my antidepressants, and am chuffed to have the opportunity to represent Square Root Soda at the E17 Village Market Walthamstow (Orford Rd) this Saturday 23 June
They have kindly donated stock to me, and proceeds from all sales will be donated on Monday to a mental health charity. I am so appreciative to have been given support from a thriving East London business, as I push towards my fundraising target.
Square Root sodas are made from freshly juiced fruit, and retain their whole fruit flavour, always tasting of the ingredients they’re made out of, naturally. They like to work with the freshest fruits and rotate flavours with the changing seasons.
Even more interesting is that the sodas contain around a third less sugar than your average bottle of fizzy pop! The sugars added are all either made from sugar beet grown on British farms, or ethically sourced, fairly traded cane sugars produced at source by farmers in Mauritius.
I rarely delve into the old home bar these days, but I also think that they would accompany a number of alcohol types, should that be your fancy.
I have made the following friendly pairing suggestions:
- Square Root Lemonade and Silent Pool Gin
- Rhubarb Soda with Jindea Gin
- Ginger Beer with Pisco
- Cola would go tremendously well with this Vanilla infused Mauritian Rum, or even a nice single malt whisky:) #endthestigma #mentalhealthawareness #homebartender #pickmeup #supportlocal #betterforyou #vegan #homemixology #ginlover #ginlove #homebar
