Raised / Chicago / USA One of Chicago's newest rooftop bars, the industrially chic indoor-outdoor Raised is a welcome addition to the recently renovated Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel, with expansive views of the Chicago River and architectural icons like Marina City, AMA Plaza, Tribune Tower, and (yes) the Trump International Hotel and Tower. Drinks include a massive list of craft beers—most are made in and around the city—and an ambitious cocktail program with drinks like the Fruited Reserve (stone fruit-infused rye, Benedictine, and orgeat) and the Vieux Carrébean (aged rum, Carpano Antica, and Mandarine Napoleon). Snacks, from chef Daniel Perez, tend toward shareable favorites, like juicy sliders, truffle fries, and lobster rolls. The open-air bar also serves brunch—yep, it's a thing here, too—on Sundays. Private cabanas, the kind you often see poolside in Las Vegas, are available by reservation for groups.
