Griffin had a warm soak and breakfast before we headed out for his first vet visit and (😦) beak trim.
We adopted him in December 2016 and he’s been the love of our life ever since. If we had known the vet visit was this simple we would have gone sooner. Definitely if he had shown signs of illness.
He’s very healthy and happy. Here’s a couple before and after.
He didn’t even act stressed ( I’m quite sure he was a little...) but Thomas has a soothing love and kept him calm.
The doctor was wonderful.
She gave us lots of advice and was extremely gentle and quick with the beak trim.
Bonus he pooped on the way to the car when we left. So that sample went right back in for lab testing to see if he has parasites. #betternot #poopsample #ineedaabaggie
He ate a ton of romaine when we got home. Hand fed of course 😍 Then right back to sleep.
In the short time we were there a pet chicken, two torts, a snake, rabbit, couple birds, chinchilla and some other pets in a box were there for check up. All fees go back towards wildlife care.
The hospital/rehab is full of babies right now.

I love to feel his breath out of those tiny nostrils. He’s the sweetest little thing. He looks right at us when we talk to him.
He’s all snuggled up in his blankies.
