This is the smallest pedalboard I've ever put together and it's so much goddamned fun. It always feels really liberating to be utilizing a few stompboxes and explore their capabilities rather than the gigantic 20+ pedalboard I'm used to.
This is my "synth board" specifically as a tabletop add-on to my Eurorack rig but I was jamming with it for guitar and it rips.
A few things are here for sentimentality's sake, the first being the Rainbow Machine which I used heavily on earlier recordings, primarily because that was the first pedal I ever purchased for myself. It's wacky, over the top, and filled with little wizards doing space magic. The second is the teeny little RX-78-2 Gundam figure, Maria got me that with my first pedal for Christmas on the first one we shared together. The little guy never leaves my board (literally, there's velcro on his feet!) Also, the Boris Eau Clare Thunder is one of my favorite fuzzies. Aside from it sounding great, I picked it up o. Boris' tour alongside @whitepawsound and @moldovamaria They caught me at the merchbooth and offered to sign it and it just serves as a token of an all around great day.
July is my "work month" where I go into overdrive on various writing projects and submissions, clerical work, etc so it's nice and cathartic to be doing this sort of nostalgic musical exploration
