I had a great weekend at the Washington State IDPA Championship! Finished 9th overall and won SSP. Couldn't have done it without @belletralane and my entire family at FAS. I've been on the range almost every weekend since February working on my apprenticeship, the state match, and even moved down near the range. I have had so many opportunities this last year and I'm extremely thankful for everything I have going on in my life right now.
I'd also like to extend a special thanks to @nancituff at @tuffproducts for sponsoring our match. They were one of the first sponsors on board and sent us a big box of goodies the same day. We hope to have them back again next year!
Recently I was helping RSO at our state Tactical Officers Association shoot and overheard someone taking about red dots and commenting about how slow they are at presentation. I simply interjected “false” and went back to what I was doing. I then watched this officer shoot and it was clear that it was a gun presentation issue and offered to work with him for a few minutes to see if I could change his mind, he was all about it. Grabbed my @trident_defense@glockinc 19x from the car and did some dry work on presentation and within a few minutes had changed his mind. It’s fine to have an opinion on something but when you profess that opinion to others when you have either little experience or no actual training on what you’re speaking about, do one of 2 things 1. Don’t voice your opinion out loud. 2. Preface it with the fact that you have little experience or training. This is not meant as a slam or even specific to opinions on red dots but opinions in general. We have no clue how our opinions on things will be taken by others so it’s important to give the full context of whatever you’re speaking about so that others can work towards a first hand opinion of their own with the best information possible. @trijicon#opinions#experience#gettraining#wordsmeanthings#getbetter#alwaysbelearning#primaryandsecondary#rds#tridentdefense#reddots#tacticallysound
