Today marks the start of my 35th week of pregnancy 🤰🏻 I keep hearing how I'm going to be so uncomfortable and ready for this part to be over. To be honest, I wish I could stay pregnant for a while longer. There is something magical about feeling life growing inside of you ❤️. It's completely indescribable and non tangible, but I believe it is the most spectacular thing I have ever felt

Let me tell you something else- I have days where I'm completely bewildered, terrified, and excited all at the same damn time. Feeling our baby girl hiccup 👶🏼 will send me into a happy cry and hours later, I'll be weeping unable to rid myself of the anxiety I feel when thinking about what our lives are going to look like

My point is: it's totally and utterly (more than) okay to feel this way. Don't let anyone tell you how you *should* be feeling, as your experience is completely unique to you and your OWN

I just had to share this photo from our maternity session with my lovely friend 🙌🏼 because this was one of the moments that I was completely consumed by JOY. I felt like a goddamn goddess 🙋🏻‍♀️ alongside Tim, and him whispering into my ear telling me: "You're so beautiful" only confirmed what I was already feeling... and already knew

We all have our days. Let yourself feel everything- the negative and the positive. You are feeling it for a reason ☝🏼. Give yourself grace. Allow yourself to breathe. Take full, deep breaths. Love yourself fully and completely. And remember that nobody has the power to take ANYTHING away from you on your journey

Happy dance for my last 4:30 wake up call. I am so proud to say that I only missed one early workout this ENTIRE school year! Only one time that I slept through my alarm! That’s impressive people!!! How did I do it? I was determined. I had my fit fam to hold me accountable AND my go go juice to put a little all natural pep in my step!

Crispy Cajun Shrimp Fettuccine
Made by : www.jocooks.com Serves: 2 srevings

Ingredients
4 oz fettuccine
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter
8 gigantor shrimp or 16 large shrimp
1 tbsp cajun spice (you can find recipe here)
2 tbsp flour 1 cup chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream (or half and half) ½ cup
Parmesan cheese, grated Instructions Cook fettuccine according to package instructions. Clean the shrimp and season with 1 tbsp of cajun spice. Drizzle the flour over the shrimp and toss in a bowl to make sure each shrimp is covered in flour. In a deep skillet add butter and olive oil and heat over high heat. Add shrimp and cook on each side about 2 min until crisp. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside. In the same skillet add chicken broth and heavy cream. Season with additional cajun spice if preferred. Cook until sauce thickens a bit from the heavy cream, then add Parmesan cheese and whisk. Add fettuccine and shrimp to the sauce and toss. Enjoy

ROASTED NEW POTATOES AND ASPARAGUS

INGREDIENTS:

1 bunch fresh asparagus, with thick stalks, ends trimmed, cut in 1 1/2 – 2 inch pieces
1-2 pounds new potatoes, cut in half or thirds (the larger ones)
olive oil
3 cloves garlic, sliced
1 tablespoon dried Italian seasoning, crushed between fingertips
sea or kosher salt and fresh black pepper
1-2 tablespoons fresh basil or parsley, chopped
fresh grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
INSTRUCTIONS:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. In an extra large mixing bowl toss the asparagus, potatoes, 2-3 tablespoons olive oil, garlic, Italian seasoning and plenty of salt and pepper together. Alternately you can use your hands to massage the oil and seasonings into the vegetables.
Grease a roasting pan, casserole dish or sheet pan. Roast vegetables about 35-45 minutes until potatoes are tender. Garnish with fresh herbs. Serve with Parmesan cheese.
