Yesterday I went on an adventure. It was supposed to be a photo adventure to the Salt Flats and with the end result of some cool landscape photos. Instead it was a day with a series of unfortunate (somewhat anyway) incidents. 😎 Backstory. It was an extremely windy day and we have a lot of smoke in the air from a big wildfire about an hour away. The Salt Flats are a 2 hour drive. •passed a different fire •passed a rollover •weird noise with my car...the bumper was splitting in two (no idea why) •get to the Salt Flats - closed for racing. 🙄 (sidenote: a new land speed record was set there at 483 miles per hour that day) •emergency alert - freeway closed due to fire we passed on the way •bumper completely broken •terrible dinner in Wendover wasting time to wait for the freeway to reopen •none of the slot machines take coins (what?!?) •grey dreary sunset...I’ve never seen anything like it •crazy wind, smoke and haze everywhere •passing the fire again on the way home was so weird, it was right next to the freeway 🙄 The bright spots: •stopped at the weird tree sculpture •said hello to monks also stopping at weird tree sculpture •at least we got pictures of the neon cowboy •a few decent pictures •conversation and time with one of my favorite people @micahjames77 ❤️😎 Still a good day. . . .
No one quits the Iron Man when they can hear the finish line. Being an entrepreneur is no different. You don’t get to the finish line if you can’t persist through the crap along the way. #ironman#entrepreneur
