When people say: "Why Kansas?" This. This is one of the many reasons "why". You see the most amazing and beautiful sunsets you will ever see in your life. The city with night life, shopping and food is about 5min away --down the same street-- from fields on both sides of the road that you can see for miles. Rolling hills and angus cows, horses and corn, soybeans and sunflowers.
Driving down a dirt road (at 50 cause that's the speed limit for dirt roads here) makes your heart squeeze. Breathing in the fresh air and taking in the sights while blasting your radio.
Then someones coming at you, you both slow move to the side and you wave. You always wave on a dirt road. Don't matter if you don't know them. That's just how it is. That makes my heart get warm.
Think about that person who you love, or your last true love. How your stomach got all in knots and you got the butterflies. They make you smile for no reason you can't stop thinking about them and you always want to be with them.
THATS what kansas does to me. That's why I love Kansas. Looking out the window, interacting with the people, and driving down a dirt road looking at the sunset. Those are some of the reasons I am actually in love with Kansas.
If you've never really traveled, and really REALLY liked a place, you may not understand. You may thing I'm crazy. But if you've done some traveling and you know what I mean about the heart squeeze, you need to move there. Wherever there is. Just go!
