Yesterday I walked away from a very important place as an employee, for the last time. The Coast Guard is taking us back to the mainland next weekend, so my time as Volunteer Coordinator at Valor in the Pacific has drawn to a close. It's been amazing. It's been a dream come true, and an unbelievable adventure. It's been inspiring, educational, and even disappointing at times. But it has, without doubt, been the best, most rewarding job I've ever had. I've seen the impact I've had on a work place. I've seen the changes in the attitudes and demeanors of my volunteers. I've been inspired and influenced by what they do and how they do it, and I will take that with me for the rest of my life. I will never forget this amazing, once in a lifetime experience, and I will be forever grateful for it. Mahalo nui loa to the entire crew at Valor in the Pacific.
Onto the next chapter of our lives in California.
