📚 A few years ago I think I would have liked this book, I didn't have my own mandala ⚛ to work on back then, I did not meditate 🗻 or hadn't started my journey of self discovery. But since I do now......
In 'In bed met Boeddha' ('In bed with Buddha') Monica Vanleke writes how after a fight with her boyfriend Noah fashionista Fanny 👜💄travels head over heals 👠👡 to India, trying to find him. With a mixed party she travels to sacred places 📿🕉, visits temples and falls in love and out of love with the Indian guide. Quite the chicklit-blond-stereoype* Fanny is, she giggles about unknown Indian words at a ceremony 😒, thinks that perhaps it means something naughty and even the Kalachakra mandala ⚛ must be created in a fashionable way 😐😩. I almost read it with a speedy, high pitched, bubbly voice in my head.... This feel-good book made me feel-annoyed 😖 at times.
The nice thing about the book is that I've learned about the Kalachakra mandala ⚛! A mandala made out of sand by monks. It sometimes takes up to three weeks for them to finish it...and then it is destroyed again.
*I wrote this the day after finishing...and I could not for the life of me remember her hair colour...🤔. So for this review I made it blond😆.
