See why it's so important we keep sharing our personal stories and redirecting the narratives for these millenials... Honestly they aren't all bad, some are just completely fooled by this "get rich quick" mentality from social media that they don't know it's not so in the real world. I do understand that some young people who finish NYSC just want to get a 200k job immediately but let's be honest and analyze it...... The experience you are offering at entry level may not be enough to command such an amount and while 200k doesn't look like its too much for some organizations to pay, it is for some others because running a business in these harsh times requires huge faith and a CEO with balls....."balls made of steel sef" 😂😂😂😂. Don't kid yourself by searching for 6 figures immediately, work for free if you must to build capacity. You can collect transport if they offer but genuinely work with all your heart and be service oriented, I didn't say "do eye service o" there's a huge difference. That one na witchcraft so stay away from those traits.
At the end of it all, "experience, grace and heart" will deliver you the job of your dreams not your certificate even if you have a masters degree it won't really matter much if you can't apply it in your work and deliver world-class projects. A guy who came to work with us a few months ago and hadn't served did 60days and saw that there was a lot of exposure working with us, not minding that I am a machine, he begged to be specially requested for when he was posted by NYSC to Lagos. He just couldn't wait to be accepted to work with us. Why do you think? I typed his letter myself because I don't joke with people like that, I now have 4 people I can mentor for the next 1year. "Willingness" is very 🔑. I see him going places and growing very fast. Don't sit at home, take that N50,000 job, take it oooooooooo. Soon you'll be smiling to the bank and you won't even remember you used to earn N50k or N70k. #OpeoluwaBamiro #beagraduatewithcommonsense #commonsenseisnotcommon #nysc #nigeriannysc #educationinnigeria #dontbelazygetbusy #getexperience #dontseatathome #beresponsible #fightforyourfuture #don'tdespiselittlebeginnings
