ANYONE MISSING THEIR GLOVES?
This past Thursday, I walked into my house, something was blocking the door - I pushed it in and it was Speedy’s stroller (yes my dog has a stroller). Thinking to myself “that’s really odd,” I looked around and realized I’d been burglarized. They’d taken the TV and moved the stroller to get better access. They’d gone through the nightstands, jewelry case, and watch boxes. Unfortunately, this happened a first time back in March. It was clearly the same people - they went to the exact same places, probably thinking I’d have replaced everything by now.
I’m usually very private, and not a “poor me” type person. I’m sharing this to let others know that have gone or will go through this type of violation that you are not alone. When this happened to me back in March, I pushed away all my feelings about it. All the anger, fear, disappointment, and feelings of being violated came out in a breakdown all in one day, several months later. Having happened a second time, I know I need to increase the security at the house, remove the large doggie door that was put in when we were rescuing 2 large labs, among other things to make it harder for them to do this again.
What’s kind of funny is one of the assholes left their gloves. Jeeeeez. Anyway - here for any of you that have been through this and need to chat about it.
