Here the recipe for my amazing #redwine #onions. A propos, they're great to prepare some days in advance and fit perfectly to a good barbecue on the weekend. This time, I even conserved them in a glass which brought to a party we were invited for. :-) Peel about 20 onions (I took shallots), get set with some red wine, rape oil, salt, Balsamico vinegar, and something to sweeten such as sugar or chopped dates.
Fry the onions in oil, caramelize them with sugar and salt, deglaze the onions first with a splash of wine, then poor some more into the pot until the onions are just covered, let the brew simmer at low heat for 15 minutes. Cheers!
