THE WOLFMAN [ 2010 ], directed by #JoeJohnston.
I have this strange feeling, that I am the only one, who actually liked this remake of the 50's classic movie.
The picture stays true to the original and the atmosphere of the film hasn't changed, and just as thrilling.
The story hasn't changed either. A man named John Talbot (played by the great #BenicioDelTorro) returns home after a while, when he finds out about his brother's death. He finds out about the rumors of the wolf that has killed his brother, and while on the hunt, he gets bitten by that very same "wolf" himself, cursing him in the process.
The film really impressed me with the visuals and the soundtrack, plus the cast is absolutely marvelous. Aside from Del Torro, we have amazing actor, and a living legend, #AnthonyHopkins playing John's father, #EmilyBlunt playing decased brother's widow, and #HugoWeaving playing a chief of police investigating the murder case. Damn, even the legendary #CharlieChaplin's granddaughter #GeraldineChaplin plays a gypsy here, and does it quite well.
The trailer for this film had me biting my nails like crazy in anticipation.
I don't really care what they all say, but this is probably the best modern remake of a classic horror film there is. I wonder if that so-called #DarkUniverse can do it better... Anyways, I highly recommend it for everyone to watch it at least once. I give it a solid 9/10.
