Week 3 of #thestencilfiedjournal challenge: “stencil on a leaf. add it to your journal.” Back in April I tried using leaves in gel printing for the first time. The effect was amazing, as were the leaves I used multiple times and had layers of paint added. I kept the leaves just in case I might want to use them for something else and also because they are beautiful (photo 2). As soon as I read this prompt, I knew I wanted to use them, but had no clue what I’d do with the rest of the page. Then a couple days ago I was thumbing through an old book I just acquired and found some pressed leaves (photo 3). This ended up being my inspiration for this page. I love reading and books and thought about the adventures you can go on while reading, and also books making the physical journey as I always have at least one book with me when I travel. And using that book as a sort of documentation of journeys taken.
Stencils used are all @stencilgirl_products: I used ATC mix-ups #1 and #2 and the words to love by stencil focusing on the portion that said risk adventure explore (artist for words to live by is @carolyn_dube and ATC mix-ups is by @mbshaw)
