How to get 11g of protein into a basic veg soup?
When the veg soup mixes are 50% off at Checkers then I grab a bag to make quick soup. This blend had red lentils, butternut, cauliflower, broccoli and onion (you could use your leftovers to turn it into any soup) Add water, salt, a good chicken stock (broth if you have), boil and blend. I also added a tbsp of curry paste (red curry, Amina’s, whatever you have). You can also be fancy and add some coconut milk.
When serving, add a big scoop of collagen to each mug and dissolve with 2 tbsp of water. Add your soup, and serve!!! Collagen is great to add to smoothies and soups because it won’t change the consistency of it, like gelatin would.
Collagen and gelatin is also effective in suppressing appetite, besides all the other 101 reasons why it’s great for you 😉
