Just did a recce to prep myself for Painted Shadows, the queer tour of the National Gallery I'm leading this weekend. Turns out there's free entry for everyone this weekend and the next! Even A Century of Light, the Impressionism exhibition, is free.
Pictured are the works of one of the few Impressionists who's rumoured to be gay: Gustave Caillebotte. Musée d'Orsay has loaned us his Sailboats in Argenteuil (1888) and Rooftops in the Snow (1878); but they've selfishly kept Man at His Bath (1884) and The Floor Scrapers (1875) for themselves.
Details: Painted Shadows, Sat 20 Jan 5pm; Sun 21 Jan 1:30pm & 5pm. Meet at the Holding Cells 15 min early and lemme know if you're coming in advance. Approx 90 min
