🤔🤔 hmm somehow this happened here I am looking at the barbell gasping for air during the masters qualifiers.
.

My training these days has dropped rapidly to less than 15% of what I used to do when I was training as an athlete. Some might say I now train like normal folk (well those outside of the CrossFitter community anyway)..... I currently train 4-5 times a week (sometimes less). My training program is designed around an hour session...but when I'm in training at @rangeofmotion I often end up spending more time talking than I do training 🤣

Training these days is mostly for me, both physically, and mentally; it helps me to... well, feel like me. .
If I am to be completely honest, I'm not sure how far I will get with the masters qualifiers. Most likely it'll be a case of "ah well, let's see how we go". Either way, if you had asked me a year ago if I felt I would have been able to get back to where I am now; or even do half of what I can do now, I would have said "absolutely not!". While I ceased training for competitive CrossFit in 2015, however, through over-training and large amounts of stress on my body it has taken me the bulk of the time between now and then to recover. .

Anyone who has suffered from adrenal fatigue understands it is a significant challenge to over come. I have promised a few people I will write more in a blog post on this later, as I feel it is incredibly important for others to understand the potential risks and consequences associated with over-training. .

Some days feel better than others, I sometimes feel as though I am almost recovered, but I still have a long slow road back to 100% recovery.
.
Nowadays, I am simply thankful to be moving.
.
Thankful for CrossFit, which again, has helped me to return back to who I am, through health and fitness.

Most of all, I'm thankful for each day I now get to spend in the gym and for every moment when I hit the gym floor & get a sweat on! #gettingsweaty #gettingsweatywithfriends #gaspingforairtime #barbellstaredown #crossfitgames #crossfitmasters #rangeofmotion

Yes, while managing a toy store, I did dress up as an Easter Bunny. And yes, the job was as magical as you might imagine. Eventually, I purchased a large submarine & aircraft carrier proceeding to glue every single spare toy piece that landed in the garbage. 2 days ago we had an 13 year reunion. It was brilliant! The stories, celebrities, confrontations, close calls, and come ons. My family of friends make me rich in the heart beyond belief. Now circling around from Manhattan improv to Florida footraces... we will do this all again.
