Garrix experience by:
I met Martijn on May 30th this year at the Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam. It was just before 8 am as I was walking through the airport to my check-in gate. At one moment I looked to the left and saw a guy walking pretty fast with just a backpack, passport and his iPhone. At that moment I thought to myself: "Damn he really looks like Martijn" but the same second I realized it was actually him! Nobody around him, no fans, nothing! As far as I could see he was in a big rush but with such a adrenaline kick I turned back and called his name twice as he didn't hear the first time. He stopped and looked over his shoulder. He said "Hey man how are you?" in Dutch. I asked where he just got home from. He said that his jet just landed from Canada. Then he asked what my destination was and for how long I was going to stay there. I told him I was heading to Ibiza for a week. Martijn wished me a great holiday and said he would love to see me in October during his ADE show after I told him I attended to his 2015 and 2016 shows. He was smiling all the time although I could tell he was tired from his flight. Once I asked for a picture I got my phone and he saw my background which is basically ➕✖ on a black screen. He laughed and said "cool background!" We took a selfie or two. There was still nobody around us. He said he had to sprint to his taxi and that we'll see each other in October. He gave me a high five and he ran towards the exit gates. I was standing there looking at him as he got out of the airport. I couldn't stop laughing. I just met the man I wanted to meet since 2014. It was unreal because it happened THIS UNEXPECTED! The least thing I expected that morning was too literally bump into Martin Garrix and be able to talk to him one on one for a few minutes.
