Post @nycmarathon life: I'll admit there is an underlying feeling of loss since NYC is over, but it's a lot easier to bear this time around (I guess PRs can do that for ya 😉). Rather than focusing on what's next, I'm trying to recover with intention right now. Going from NYC to Vegas has left me feeling worn down. I got sick the day we came back from NYC (no surprise), and almost felt like backing out of Vegas (glad I didn't bc it was so fun). Now that life is getting back to routine, I'm really focusing on getting healthy so I'm ready to take on my next goal when it's time. For me, this means more sleep, resuming a healthier diet (those post marathon treats were da bomb tho!), and easy recovery runs WHEN I FEEL LIKE IT (also, wine 🍷). I've felt like running everyday this week, but my body has told me no a few times. And I've listened to it! Enjoying this time and the slower pace right now ❤️
