15 weeks pregnant & rocking the run!
👉🏼The hardest part about running?
The mental game. 😒
Having long-term success in running is NOT about talent or motivation. It's about having high tolerance for pain/boredom and mental endurance/patients.
Today's run was at that " easy pace" but let's break it down... Was today actually "easy"?
Hell No- Today, like most days, was a mental challenge. No desire to get out the door. I was bored with my thoughts from the first step. Then, I kept thinking back to the "glory days" when I could cruise at sub 7:00 pace before being pregnant. "What is even the point?!"- I thought... you know the days?!
Think every run is all sunshine and rainbows 🌈 ? WRONG-O! Running is a challenge no matter what pace you go. No matter who you are. No matter how long you have been running. It's always mind over matter. You can overcome your negativity. My goal for today was 8 miles. When I got back to my car with 9 miles I said "take that MIND. I own you". Own your mind! 🏃♀️👍🏼
