I ❤️ East Bay regional parks! Maybe (probably) I spent too many years pounding pavement on the mean streets of NYC, but the long hills, fire roads and rolling wooded trails of the East Bay seem like a sanctuary every time. The only hard part is driving away at day’s end. #garinregionalpark #drycreekregionalpark #eastbayrunning #runallthetrails #grindthehills #runlongrunhappy #eastbayparks #trailrunning #running #instarunners

Sunday afternoon bike ride in the Haystack. Today's bike ride was brought to you by the Coyote on the hill above that wouldn't stop staring at me. In other news, I could see all the way to San Francisco, clear skies before the rain comes. What did you do this weekend?

Hiking off the sins of yesterday

A lovely sunset while on a hill around Garin/Dry Creek Pioneer Regional Park in Hayward, CA. I was hanging out with my cuzz, Regina, Chris and his family at the time. This is a wonderful park to visit. If only we came here hours earlier. This is my very first time visiting this park…
More about the park:
Famed in the early 1880’s for the spirit of gaiety that reigned here on festival days, guests poured in from the rural districts of the whole county to greet their friends and make merry. And so today, we pray you to maintain with us that holiday spirit; leave care & worry behind you; enjoy the beauties of nature here in your midst; and pause for a moment in your rush through life to give thanks to the great artist who painted this ever-changing picture of the hills and fields and streams. Park activities include: picnicking, hiking and horseback riding, kite flying, dog walking, fishing and more! This park is a pleasure to visit despite that it’s a bit less well-known than some of the other parks around the Bay Area. The park also boasts an excellent hike to a summit where you’ll be treated to a spectacular view of the entire SF Bay Area. There’s also a barn with farm equipment to see and some cool places to picnic; there are many different trails you can enjoy hiking on as well…

Enjoying the great outdoors with the gang around Garin/Dry Creek Pioneer Regional Park in Hayward, CA. It’s been a while since we’ve all hanged out as a group. This is a wonderful park to visit and it’s easy because finding a parking spot here is no problem!
A quick hiking selfie around Garin/Dry Creek Pioneer Regional Park in Hayward, CA. I was hanging out with my cuzz, Regina, Chris and his family at this time. Mind you, the ground I was standing on had a steep incline so taking this pic was already quite scary lol. This is a wonderful park to visit and it’s easy because finding a parking spot here is no problem! This is my very first time visiting this park…

Quickly changing the subject, he adds- oh look- #garinregionalpark #drycreekpioneerregionalpark and #vargasplateauregionalpark where we hiked lately! #darthvaderdoingthings

Hey guys 👋🏼
In Hayward.
