So, had to shake my beard and go semi-retard today when 2x292,5 kg was taken for a ride. Totally amaZing to be able to play some quality Swedish rock'n roll while lifting and also have @pannimi72 pushing πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ˜ This was the final wakeupthesleepingbody workout for squats, with really heavy bandwork, and it felt really good. Got a few more workouts with bands left, but lighter and less tension. Also some more squatting after this and also deficit deads at 210 kg. By the way, squatter of the day was NOT me 😎

Day 4 week 3 SSB skwaats, just the prerequisite work and + reps.
Wide stance reps with empty bar loosened things up nice then into the warmup sets and the 3x5.
Set sights on 10 with 120kg top set and put that in the bag. Next week will be singles and see how close I can get the ssb to my straight bar squat. Interested to see if it transfers over to squat or deadlift πŸ€”
Refuel with a twins polish chicken kebab, fries and coca cola πŸ‘Œ

I had a wave of gratefulness come over me today after I had finished my workout. I am so lucky that a few years ago I was able to layby this home gym at such a great price. It has everything I would ever need to do a strength workout and its all mine!
No driving to the gym then having to hope that the equipment I want to use is free, no having to re-rack other peoples weights annnd NO OTHER PEOPLE! πŸ˜‚
I can just go down to the garage, do my workout, then go back upstairs.
I then felt a bit guilty, because I really have no excuses to be in shape.
So I will just use this photo as more motivation!

Its peeing down outside so the garage was crammed full of shite I couldn't shift out into the rain, made enough room to do some pulls πŸ‘

Week 2 day 2 wendler 351
Rockin a camo rehband for some warmth in the ole knee and a bit of protection, started out in dl socks but the bar was touching the screw heads in my shin on the way up so on went the iron rebel sleeves.
Warmed up sets 5x70 5x86 3x102
Work sets 5x110 5x127 went double overhand then straps for the 5+ pr set 15x143kg
Short n sweet session, time to pack up and drag bike in, freshen up and make a β˜•

My nice early friday dart turned into a 12hr shift 😀
The cruelty bar doesn't care for excuses and was waiting patiently for me to drag my ass in and train.
Week 1 day 4 skwaats, cruelty bar for main work this cycle, didn't test a TM for the SSB and hedged my bets on running the duration with the low straight bar TM. 125kg 3+2 but haven't squatted heavy with the cruelty bar for a long while, going off the reps dropping 5kg would be best for a decent run but it's only for three weeks so I'll suck it and see... Using the bar as intended, no pushing or pulling with the arms, main followed with FSL 5x5 no hands.

Meant to be a lazy afternoon but can't help myself. My lad went to his grandparents for the afternoon so I painted the back fence, 2/3 done and out of paint so it was time to start another cycle of 351 πŸ‘Š

Upped the TM 1kg ohp, 2.5kg bench, 5kg deadlifts and 5kg skwaats, nice slow progress back up again and should get a nice long run before resetting again.
Face pulls and pullaparts to loosen up the ohp warm up : 5x21 5x26 3x31
Work sets : 3x36 3x41 3+ for 10x45 (capped)

FSL with bench grip 5x5 then worked on flexibility with behind the neck presses 5x5 bar.

Set up the matador for 5x10 dips then finished off with 5x10 wide grip pullup

Today, I lift 5 or 6 times a week in my garage with the equipment I’ve acquired over the past few years. I eat mostly locally grown and harvested meats, eggs, vegetables, and even my dairy products come from Northern California. I don’t eat 100% β€œclean” any more, or have cheat days, or cheat weekends. I have a love affair with heavy weight (for me) that I simply can’t get away from, but love the bodybuilding lifestyle and benefits. I’m constantly trying to find better ways to utilize my time in the gym, to both show progress, but also enjoy my time there (we never get the time back, so it better count).

Week three day four wendler 351, busy ole day and stuck this session in late on. Still on low TM and will be running the deload as programmed through next week, then upping the TM and into another cycle.

5/5/3 warm up sets all paused, work sets 5/3/1 top set 127kg then into singles up to 95% of a predicted max. Previous raw was 165 so I based it on 170 which should have been an easy 161.5kg
Switched to heels which relived a pain I had in my foot but that later give my knee shit and it started swelling. Whatever, I'm a stubborn fucker and goals were set for the session so don't winge about it get on with it.
Groove was a bit weird after squatting back in flats for so long but the weight was shifting ok, then I got tendinitis in my left elbow by top work set, at 95% it caused me to loose tightness and the bar drifted up, shit rep but ground it out and put it to bed.
Been an uphill slog this week fighting for singles I've pulled/ pushed for reps, its just one of those weeks that test you and make your that bit stronger provided you take the fight.

Never any rest at weekend, spent yesterday morning up a ladder then fucked it off cos it it was fucking my knee up 😀 scaffold time !
So cut down the overhanging bushes and some strip boards for shuttering around base for new gym base.
Cut some pegs and set height across. Plumb lines down from facia to shuttering for a more accurate measurement for squaring up than off the pebble dash.
Boards to finish then whack the base down ready for membrane and insulation then concrete πŸ‘
