----------------------------------If anyone is looking for a good chest finisher give this a go ๐Ÿ˜Š make your last working set in your main phase 12x3 flat dumbbell chest press superset with diamond push-ups for 3 rounds of failure (first video) to really burn out your chest and arms and then move into the finisher which is 10x5 dips and flat bench press. ๐Ÿ”ถ The Incline bench press ๐Ÿ”ถ ------------------------------------
In my program I added the incline bench press movement on both chest days but on one day I use a standard Olympic barbell and on the other two Dumbbells. The reason is because I'm building more than strength. I use the bar to add weight and build strength and size to my chest but on the second day I use Dumbbells for a number of benefits.
------------------------------------
1. To help build stabilisation: using a bar both arms are secure and stable with correct form but with the Dumbbells you have two individual weights separate from each other so each side have there own work load allowing you to develop more functional muscle action while simultaneously building your core strength. ------------------------------------
2. Keeping balance: with the bar both your arms carry an equal weight so it's easy for your stronger side to compensate for your weaker side but with the Dumbbells your forcing your weaker side to step it up. ------------------------------------
3. Fixing uneven development: for people who may have an uneven pectoral development you can use Dumbbells to balance the size of your chest out and make both pectorals an equal size and strength. ------------------------------------
4. Finally for people just starting out and cannot press the bar yet the starting point for a beginner can be Dumbbells as they can be as light as 1kg and they progress in .5kg advancements whereas the plates for a bar progress in 1.25kg advancements.
