The angles, the lighting, the wardrobe...they don’t perfectly match up, but it’s crazy the difference in my body between these two pics.
If there’s ONE thing that I would want you to say about me on social media, it’s that I am open and forthcoming with you. With that being said, October was not the best month for me. I basically felt the worst about my body than I had in a really long time. I wasn’t eating to fuel my body, my macros were all over the place, and I wasn’t in the best place emotionally/mentally either. Fast forward to the beginning of NOV (left pic) I began a reverse diet again with my coach. I had direction and accountability. As my macros have been increasing slowly (and been consistent) I actually feel less fluffy, stronger (as shown by my recent PRs in the gym), and the scale has dropped ever so slightly. The right pic was this morning.
The whole point of a reverse diet is to get your calories/macros as high as possible with minimal to no weight gain. If you can keep increasing the amount of food you are eating and stay the same, that’s a huge win! I currently have a few clients reverse dieting as well during the winter. Come time to reduce calories again and lean out in the spring/summer they will thank me 😉. I’m looking forward to my continued progress, muscle gains, and all the food gains that are still coming my way! Woo! 2018 is gonna be great!
