🔹4 TIPS TO BUILD MUSCLE🔹⠀

1️⃣ Be in a Caloric Surplus⠀
👉Find your maintenance level of calories⠀
👉Eat 300-500 calories over your maintenance level⠀
👉Gradually increase your calories if you have been in a deficit for awhile (100-150 calories each week)⠀

👉Make sure you are getting stronger⠀
👉Do more reps, lift more weight, or even better do both!⠀

POST WORKOUT FAST ACTING CARBS ‼️
🤔What are they? Basically they are carbohydrates (with high glycemic index) that are easy to digest and supply you with energy in a really short period of time📈

💪🏻While we train, our main source of energy is the glycogen stored in our muscles (aside from ATP and stored fat). So once we finish our workout, we need to replenish the muscle glycogen you just burned in order to recover faster and in order to grow 🔥

🤷🏼‍♂️I know that it’s quite difficult to burn all the glycogen stores in your muscles during one workout, but honestly I think that you should replenish any amount of glycogen burned, specially if you’re trying to build muscle 💪🏻

💥Here is when fast acting carbs come into play. Consuming this kind of carbs is the best way to replenish muscle glycogen 🔝 Some fast acting carbs I recommend are:
✅Dextrose ✅High GI fruits like bananas or grapes
✅Maltodextrin ✅Raisins (which I’m holding 😍)

Back 2 Basics
For the past couple of weeks, I’ve been inadvertently leaning toward very basic exercises and methods of training, and so far, I’ve enjoyed every minute of it.
There is no denying that the basics of training do amazing things and you’re able to get full usage of a muscle if you utilize the muscle the way it’s intended. Today’s workout lasted not but 1 hour and consisted of 8 heavy sets of underhand lat pulldowns, 6 sets of heavy single arm dumbbell rows, 8 sets of deadlifts, and 3 failure sets of pullups. It was an incredible workout, and definitely worth it. Give it a shot if you’re down!
