Finally brought deadlifts back into my training and really enjoy having them back. I have a love hate relationship with them but they’re a a fantastic compound exercise that really works your posterior chain. They’re also a great way to track progress.
Just at the beginning of the year I could only lift 90kg for 2 reps. Now I’m lifting 90kg for 8 with ease. Technique needs more work but I’m happy with the progress.
Training in the gym has always been my happy place. I enjoy putting my headphones in, blocking out the world and focussing on just me and what I need to do. But lately I’ve preferred to train without music and just enjoy being in a gym surrounded by other people working towards their goals. I find it quite refreshing. Do you prefer to train with or without music?
