To quickly prep for Bird of Paradise, try these prep poses. #swipeleft 🙌🏽
1️⃣ Go into Warrior 2 then pull your left hip back and shift the torso downward. Triangle Pose.
2️⃣ Interlace your fingers around your front leg for a lateral bind.
3️⃣ Reset and squat to create your bind and lift your leg towards the sky. I did this later in the day with little prep but over time, you'll extend higher and higher. Remember, like Iyengar said to my Chicago-based yoga guru, "practice 1000 times rather than ask a 1000 questions." Feeling grateful for my yoga teacher trainer. 👊🏽❤️🙏🏽#gabrielhalpern
