So, my run was done by 7 and by 8, I was here! If you've been following my journey, you might already know that I have plans of getting into triathlons after I accomplish some big running goals. I ❤️ swimming! 🏊🏻♀️ I swam in high school. I went to high school in a small town, Carencro, Louisiana. Well, swimming was not big there. I had a blast and my coach was a wonderful man, but am pretty sure my 2 boys who were on a swim team here for one season have already learned more about technique than I ever did. I have been thinking that I wanted to get back into swimming as I LOVE being in the water. Swimming is one of those things that I feel like I could do forever. Randomly on Facebook I saw a conversation going on between 2 friends about a swimming class for adults in town. I jumped right in that conversation and signed up! I'm not going to lie, I was hitting the ropes a lot at first and going way too deep after my flip turns, but by the end of the class I felt like it hadn't been 16+ years since I was that high school girl on the swim team. I loved this class! I loved the instructor! The group of people were fun and I can't wait to go back next week! I wish I would have kept track of how many meters we swam, but I know it was definitely over a mile all together! So, I feel like I have taken the next step in my journey to being a #triathlete 🙌🏻 I still don't own a bike though! That's my reward after I hit running goals!
