Can you guess how much today's 2 immunotherapy infusions and a shot I need costs? $19,508.55!!! My Cobra insurance runs out in May and I would like to be able to continue with all my doctors at @sloankettering. However, I don't know yet which plans will be affordable or which will accept me due to my pre-existing condition. It's not a topic I know much about yet but now spending time researching BUT REALLY....shouldn't every single person in this country be able to have the care they think, and their doctors think, is best for them? #Survivor #FutureCancerSurvivor #HealthInsurance NOT AN #AlternativeFact

Happy Survivor-day to me! Today is the beginning of the rest of my life. I'm done with treatments. I survived through surgery. I survived through chemo. I survived through radiation. I survived through immunotherapy. I survived through various and many continuing side effects. I survived CANCER. I truly feel lucky. My team at MSKCC is incredibly special and I'll continue to see many of them for follow ups and other on-going medicine and appointments (it's never done done!). My kids are survivors. They survived this horrific year & a half. I have the best friends, #workwife & family. I've thanked all of YOU along the way so for now I'll conclude with my parents...there's no one luckier than me. My journey will continue and I'm going to keep sharing- hoping my thoughts, wisdom and experiences will help others. It's been a long and emotional day. I woke up with who I wanted to wake up with and I'll celebrate with my kids when I get home. Thank you. πŸ’— (and Amanda Uprichard again for this custom shirt) #futurecancersurvivor now #survivor #myBrEaSTyear

At the airport but not going anywhere. Today I got to tell my kids how good can come from bad. How changes can be made. UPDATE ON CASH: On Monday, May 22, 2017 Cash received what we hope will be his last chemo treatment ever!!! We will continue to do labs over the next 3wks. At the end of those 3wks we'll do Cash's final scans. If all comes back clear we'll finally be able to say "Cash beat cancer!!!" Then they'll get him scheduled for surgery to remove his port! So hopefully this will all be over by July!

We've come so far but we still have a long road ahead of us. We're still struggling to get him to gain weight. I personally feel it's bc he's lost sooo much muscle mass but with time I know we'll get there. We are also looking to up his physical and occupational therapy to twice a week in hopes to get him kindergarten ready physically. If not then we'll start exploring other options. All in all we can expect to see some pretty impressive improvement in his over all abilities over the summer but they estimate that it will take about a year for him to be back to the child he was before all of this happened.
We also want to thank everyone again for all the thoughts, love and support. From monetary gifts to fun care packages for Cash to those who have flown out to see him and help out you have all made us feel so loved and supported all while being so so very far from home! We love you all and there will never be any way to truly express our gratitude! ❀️

Today is a great day. For a few reasons. One of them is this! I had my follow up appointment with the radiation oncologist. Please remember to follow up with your own appointments. Please help someone else today who isn't having a great day. That's all. πŸ’—

Thankful for these meds. Thankful for my doctors, nurses, NP's and the rest of the staff at Memorial Sloane Kettering Cancer Center. Thankful for an early diagnosis. Thankful for everyone on my team. Thankful that the worst part is over and though I still have this (immunotherapy) and a little more ahead....I'm just thankful. #Survivor #FutureCancerSurvivor #cancer #breastcancer #thankful

People constantly ask me what can they do to help me? Well one thing you can do is to stay up to date on your Pap smears. Doctors now allow you to go 3 years in between paps. At least mine did. I had a normal pap in 2014 and was told that a pap was unnecessary the last couple of years during my annual physicals. Well. Had I had one in 2015 or 2016 my cancer story might be a bit different. In fact I may have been able to have it detected much much earlier - and still have my fertility. I wish I had asked for a pap in 2015 and/or 2016 - knowing what I know now, take your health into your own hands and get one. I wish someone had told me this so that is why I am sharing. Get your pap. Do your thing. Put your health first. #futurecancersurvivor #goodvibesonly #dontfearthesmear #cervivor #futurecervivor #cancersucks #stupidcancer #cervicalcancerawareness

Hi! My name is Ginny and I am 31 years old. I am originally from Mercer Island, WA. I currently reside in San Diego, CA with my amazing boyfriend and very loveable pitbull. My life was flipped upside down and forever changed on April 3, 2017 when I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. Initially my doctor thought that it was Stage 1 Cervical Cancer but after surgery revealed that the cancer had spread beyond my cervix & uterus he escalated my case to Stage 3 cervical cancer. The MRI originally revealed that I had a 3cm tumor attached to my cervix that would need to be removed surgically. Prior to surgery, I completed IVF treatment as treatment for cervical cancer meant losing my fertility. I will still be able to have children someday but it will be with the help of a surrogate or adoption. When my oncologist went in for surgery he discovered that the cancer had started to creep into other parts of my lady parts and decided that the best method for ridding me of cancer would be a combination of radiation and chemotherapy. He didn't proceed with the initially intended radical hysterectomy, but he did go ahead and flipped my ovaries from their normal spot in my pelvic area upto my ab region. This procedure is called ovary transposition surgery. It will spare me from going through menopause at 31 and will keep my ovaries out of the radiation area as they are healthy and cancer-free. I start radiation on Tuesday May 30th and my first chemo treatment is on June 1st. Follow me as I beat cancer's ass over the next few months. #cervicalcancer #cervicalcancerawareness #dontfearthesmear #strongandsmart #futurecervivor #futurecancersurvivor #goodvibesonly

Proud #MOMent. What's better than this? What's better than your sons not only by your side but totally supportive and understanding and proud of your journey! My son asked for this look recently for crazy hair day at school. He asked for this #pinkribbon again for the @komengreaternyc #impactawards where I was being honored. I'm so proud of both of my boys and hope this inspires other moms or dads on a #cancer journey of their own! #survivor #FutureCancerSurvivor #myBrEaSTyear
