Ok, so at the risk of sounding like a @gifd_labs_official groupie, I HAD to share the integrity of @jerrywardii . Why? A few weeks ago, he ran a "free hat with purchase until supplies last" sale. I thought to myself, oh you know, I'm getting low on Essential Aminos Plus collagen I'll order some when I get home. The next day I realized I'd forgotten, but even better, free shaker bottle that day and there's no such thing as too many shaker bottles even if I missed out on the hat. Well, I didn't open the box right away but just finished my canister and saw he'd sent BOTH! He could've said "nope, you missed yesterday's promo" but instead he stuck true to while supplies last on the hat along with my personalized thank you note like always. You just don't see this kind of integrity anymore, especially in the get-rich-quick supplements industry these days! I swear I don't get a single penny from this, I just feel like I had to share something I truly believe in! I can't wait until the next time he's in Ohio!

I’m learning that counting macros isn’t about being perfect; I don’t have to meticulously count & measure every single thing to have the results I want. I just have to be conscious of what I’m consuming & make sure to be eating predominantly healthy proteins, carbohydrates & fats. I’ve always known that food is a major key to success in fitness, & with what I’m trying to accomplish is absolutely imperative that I am mindful of that. ◾ Scapular retraction...✔ Squeeeeze your shoulder blades together! Weak rhomboids and tight pecs CAN affect this, so address those issues first if necessary!

#HipHinge ✔ This can be a really difficult concept for new lifters to grasp! My best cue for helping someone to hinge at the hips is telling them to sit back like they are trying to touch the wall behind them with their butt. It (should) go without saying, practice hip hinging without weight FIRST to get the feel for the movement! It's not uncommon for someone to drop their chest in an attempt to "touch the wall behind them with their butt" - keep the shoulder blades retracted and focus on a point in front of you to keep your eyes/head up.

📣 Don't try to go too low if you have tight hamstrings, I cannot stress this enough!! The glutes and hamstrings eccentrically control the weight on the way down. Once you feel TENSION, it's time to activate them to extend the hips!

#FunFact - The hamstrings work on 2 joints...they're responsible for KNEE flexion and HIP extension. Because there is no active motion at the knee during a Good-Morning (the slight bend doesn't count as motion), this is a #FABULOUS exercise to "target" the glute-ham tie-in...you know, your booty crease?? Yep - for all you girls wanting to perkify your tush, these are great for that! 🍑

If you're a beginner, please don't start with Good-Mornings! Perfect other similar movements, like an #RDL , before trying this advanced lift. Educate yourself! If it hurts, STOP! What works great for some might not work great for you, and that's okay! Trial and error - find what works for you! But please be safe in doing so!
