Thank you for sharing your view of it and changing the lives of so many, including me! #riptomwolfe #family ❤️💃🌈👅⚡️

RIP #TomWolfe “Death the last voyage, the longest, and the best.” The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test is a nonfiction book by Tom Wolfe that was published in 1968. The book is remembered today as an early – and arguably the most popular – example of the growing literary style called New Journalism. Wolfe presents an as-if-firsthand account of the experiences of Ken Kesey and his band of Merry Pranksters, who traveled across the country in a colorfully painted school bus named Further. Kesey and the Pranksters became famous for their use of #LSD and other #psychedelic drugs in hopes of achieving intersubjectivity. The book chronicles the Acid Tests (parties in which LSD-laced Kool-Aid was used to obtain a communal trip), the group's encounters with (in)famous figures of the time, including famous authors, Hells Angels, and The Grateful Dead, and it also describes Kesey's exile to Mexico and his arrests. He was known as a pioneer of a literary style in nonfiction that became known as New Journalism. It was a long-form of writing in which writers deeply immersed themselves in the subject they were writing about. The style relied on rich and detailed description that evoked a more literary style of prose than found in typical non-fiction works. “You have reached the pinnacle of success as soon as you become uninterested in money, compliments, or publicity.” The #merrypranksters were Ken Kesey (The Chief, Captain Flag, or Swashbuckler), author (1935-2001)
Neal Cassady (Speed Limit), driver (eastbound), author (1926-1968)
Cathy Casamo (Stark Naked or Beauty Witch), actress, girlfriend of Larry Hankin.

The family sitting on bails of hay. He had an eagle 🦅 feather in one hand and white sage in the other as he smudged the crowd ... with a clown nose on his face, pair of overalls on and a great big smile that could never be forgotten. it was a once in a lifetime experience to say the least 🌙🍄🤡 Once the beatnik comic named Hugh Romney 🤡 in the 60’s became WavyGravy of the Hog Farm Commune, 🐽famous for the voice of #Woodstock 🌀🍭❤️ “500,000 for breakfast in bed “wanna help ?” Dubbed as the Teacher of Peace 💟✌🏽☮️ HBD #wavy ‼️‼️#summeroflove #benandjerrys #merrypranksters #furtherbus #kenkesey #mickeyhart #hippie #haightashbury #sanfrancisco #headyglass #jimihendrixexperience #gratefuldead #magicmushrooms #deadhead #janisjoplin #jimihendrix #maryjane #bandofgypsies #jerrygarcia #bobweir #clown #benandjerry #jackkerouac #electrickoolaid #ontheroadagain #dancingbears @wavygravy__ @benandjerrys @gratefuldead @gratefuldead.love @merrybandofpranksters @jerrygarcia @bobweir @mickeyhart @eventsfy @themadclownhatter 🤡🌀🎩🌙www.eventsfy.com🦅🐽✨🍄

'Tie dye' was first born when the Further bus got stuck in the mud on its 1964 cross country journey to NY world's fair. The group led by Ken Kesey and his merry band of pranksters (including Neal Cassidy) got high on LSD and dropped enamel paint into a lake transferring it onto a T shirt. #tiedye#kenkesey #nealcassidy #furtherbus #1964

I needed to get more ink and I had the perfect idea! Not the best picture because it wraps around my leg. @chronadian riding the Further bus. Shane always pushed people to go further and do more. He was also a huge support in my life so it is only right to get him on my leg. Thank you so much to @rodgerjames for drawing up the bus for me ❤️ Thank you G for destroying this tattoo! I love what you did what the colours in it! #furtur #furtherbus #further #bus #gratefuldead #grateful #deadhead #chronadian #longlivetheking #tattoo #canada #canadiantattoos #wutang #patchwork #trip #joint #king #color #colours #blownaway

Further Bus
