Looking for a new way to train on the treadmill? Try these fun alternatives to put that machine to work even on a slow speed! Check the details below and have #FunWithFit πŸ˜‰πŸ’ͺ🏾 1⃣ 5 mins warm-up at moderate pace. (I'm on speed level 5.) 2⃣ 45 - 60 secs Mountain Climbers facing away the treadmill turned OFF.
3⃣ 45 - 60 secs Walking Lunges on incline at slow pace. (I chose incline level 15, speed 1.) 4⃣ 45 - 60 secs Bunny Hops at slow pace. (I selected speed level 1.) 5⃣ 45 - 60 secs Squat Jumps on and off the treadmill at slow pace. (I'm on speed level 1.)

Day 8 of #14DayCalisthenics High Five calls for #chinups and #pistolsquats . The first video is my friend and colleague @deniseferrufino whom I got to join in with me today. She's not only a total badass, but a sweet soul and all around good person to have in your life. I probably don't tell her enough, but she's one of my very favorite people here ❀️. The next video is me. I chose to show both as I appreciate Denise playing along with me today, but also to show variations/modifications/assists to the exercises. I can't chin-up so chose to #deadhang again with chin-up arms, whereas Denise used a band for assistance. We both needed a little hand hold for the pistol squats πŸ˜‚. All in all a little fun break to our morning. .

Day 4 of #14DayCalisthenics High Five (and I'm technically caught up πŸ˜‰) calls for #neutralpullups and #declinepushups . I can't do a pull-up or chin-up to save my life, so these are my minuscule movements and even with the help of a band. I should have simply hung for five breaths as I heard before that hanging is as good if you aren't able to pull-up. Of course I didn't think of it until after I did this (why are there so many pull-ups in this challenge?! πŸ˜³πŸ˜‚) I've never done decline push-ups until today and though I found them more difficult, I also felt more core engagement. Pretty cool. .

Day 3 of #14DayCalisthenics High Five calls for #handstandwalks and #broadjumps . I can't handstand let alone walk on my hands so I chose to practice kicking up against the wall. Between laughing at/with myself and waiting for my head to clear each time I went upside down, I managed about two and a half rounds in one minute, an extra 30 seconds though, and I managed three. These were tougher and more tiring than I expected, but I had fun trying. If you need evidence of that, check out my goofy grin at the end. πŸ˜‚

Single-arm lateral raises
Holding on to the back of a bench helps to focus on isolating my shoulders rather than using my entire body and momentum.
I noticed in taking more videos of myself I can see where I need to improve on my form. Ideally, I like to keep my wrist at elbow at shoulder height no higher. We always have room to improve. Instead of saying I'm not good at this or quit, we can keep working towards goals to better ourselves.
