Looking for a new way to train on the treadmill? Try these fun alternatives to put that machine to work even on a slow speed! Check the details below and have #FunWithFit πŸ˜‰πŸ’ͺ🏾 1⃣ 5 mins warm-up at moderate pace. (I'm on speed level 5.) 2⃣ 45 - 60 secs Mountain Climbers facing away the treadmill turned OFF.
3⃣ 45 - 60 secs Walking Lunges on incline at slow pace. (I chose incline level 15, speed 1.) 4⃣ 45 - 60 secs Bunny Hops at slow pace. (I selected speed level 1.) 5⃣ 45 - 60 secs Squat Jumps on and off the treadmill at slow pace. (I'm on speed level 1.)

Day 5: L❀️VE your life
More snow again today, but we made the best of it. June decided to sled down the giant snow bank on the side of our driveway while I shoveled. We had a blast and got some exercise while taking care of business. Life is busy but there's always a way to make daily chores more fun and if I can incorporate a bit of healthy activity in there too, I consider it a win-win! πŸ‘ŠπŸ˜… πŸ˜ƒ

Day 19 #TCSWEATADAY : Reverse Tabletop/Bridge
Reverse tabletop is one of my least liked postures, probably because I find it difficult-so much core! I felt as though I was relatively straight, really engaging my core, but between my round bottom and round belly, I can't really tell. πŸ€”πŸ˜‚ I suppose as long as it feels right is all that matters.

Day 18 #TCSWEATADAY : Body Weight Plank and Agility

I feel as though I keep repeating myself through these challenge posts - 'I'm having so much fun!' (I am, I really am), 'I've never done ____.' Well once again, I've never done agility drills. Sprints yes, but nothing like this. @a1__diego played football in school so I'm sure he's familiar and @deniseferrufino took part in the crossfit classes offered here at our work so I'm sure she's pretty familiar as well. Familiar or not, these are harder than they look. A great way to get your heart rate up and a great eye/foot coordination exercise. If I could get over my fear of stomping on and crushing either Denise or Rich's legs, I think I might be a slight bit better at doing them. .

Day 16 #TCSWEATADAY : Squats and squat jumps

@deniseferrufino I think we might need to try these again. On comparison, I think we might need to be further apart to provide more tension and support in the arms. It might not be perfectly executed this time, but with practice, we'll get closer. @hangry_4eva again with the camera πŸŽ₯ skills. I've already asked if she'll bring gym clothes tomorrow so... πŸ˜„

Still catching up, though more so in posting than doing the exercises.
These were fun and I think both @deniseferrufino and I agree that @a1__diego needs to work his core more. He's not going to like that I said that. πŸ˜³πŸ˜‚. @hangry_4eva behind the lens again, but keeping my fingers crossed that she's able to join in on the fun of doing the exercises tomorrow.

Day 13 #TCSWEATADAY : Ball push-up/Side Plank
Still playing catch up and wasn't able to post this earlier - what gives @instagram ? Full bars and wifi connection and you still have to retry to post when the connection is better? πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€” I had a nice little blurb written as well, but you can't revisit your potential post and copy the verbiage to a new one that will actually post, so... Perhaps something to think about for your next update @instagram ?

These were hard, but so much fun! My second favorite after the over / under / bear crawl. After chilly rainy days (50's) to bright sunny days (90's?! oh D.C. Weather, you kill me) @deniseferrufino and I took it outside. I'm still not sure the equipment is to leave the gym at work so I brought in this cantaloupe sized weight ball I had at home. Not much for weight, but perfect for rolling around.
@hangry_4eva with the mad camera πŸŽ₯ skills. I'm hoping to get her out from behind the lens to participate soon. Hannah, I'm coming for ya! πŸ˜‚

I'm still recovering from being sick but I have this workout I recorded for you a few weeks ago. I like to call it the "Forward, Back, Down, Push-Up" method. I'm demonstrating three options and they all include the hand-release push-up. These are great for working your core, building strength and improving your push-up. Keep your abs engaged and back straight as your whole body comes off the floor as one unit. You can also modify these push-ups by doing them on your knees. Do as many reps as you can keeping good form and have #FunWithFit πŸ˜‰πŸ’ͺ🏾

Day 11 #TCSWEATADAY : Medball Wall Passes
These were so much fun!!! @deniseferrufino @a1__diego and I had to do these in the hallway outside of the gym (hence the dude coming out of the men's locker room 😳) as there wasn't wall space available inside and it's been raining the past few days outside. Plus, I'm still thinking the equipment isn't to leave the building. ☹️ Today though, the three of us actually got in a full workout earlier in the day, which I'm hoping we can keep up with in the future, but the challenge wasn't posted at that time which is why we're back in 'regular' clothes #nostretchypants πŸ˜‚. I really enjoy spending time with these two and we're learning new exercises not only from this challenge, but from each other. Honestly though, most of my contributions comes from people I follow here like @shauna_harrison and @curtiswilliams17 and one not participating in this challenge, but who still shares so much information and inspiration on exercises, @pixi_ani . You guys all keep me inspired to step up my movements and I'm grateful and so happy to have found you all on IG.

Day 11 #TCSWEATADAY : Russian Twist/Boat Crunches

I should have checked the example video and description once more before doing these as I think we missed BOTH the Russian Twist and the Boat Crunches. πŸ˜³πŸ˜±πŸ˜† Either way, it was a good workout and hopefully @shauna_harrison and @curtiswilliams17 don't hold it against us for not paying better attention. πŸ˜‰ As stated in my previous post, noticing things to work on-less kicking of my legs for added momentum to get me up and pulling more with my core. I'm pretty sure I'll still feel it tomorrow...
@a1__diego and @deniseferrufino with me again and I couldn't do this without these two. Not because it's a partner challenge or the video skills(?) πŸ˜‚, but for the company, the laughs, learning new skills, and the constant encouragement. Day 10 #TCSWEATADAY : Medball Sit-up Presses and Mtn. Climbers

So, our plans to work out yesterday fell through. ☹️ We all came prepared, but couldn't quite get our timing right. I quite enjoyed this exercise, though I kept feeling as though my form was off during the mtn. climbers. The nice thing about doing these challenges, besides spending time with @deniseferrufino and @a1__diego , is having something to look back on to improve.

Day 9 #TCSWEATADAY : Crossbody Lunge Pass

Back at it with my favorite two challenge cohorts @deniseferrufino @a1__diego . It probably would have been better to do these outside as we would have had more room, but I don't think the equipment is allowed to leave the building, if even only temporarily. ☹️ So, we've made a deal that all three of us will bring proper clothes and shoes tomorrow, get in a good workout, and then do the challenge. Let's hope we keep this deal tomorrow. πŸ‘ @a1__diego behind the camera today with the tips and encouragement as he already had a killer workout and was so fresh and so clean, clean. I guess showering does that to you. πŸ˜‚ Ok, I'm stopping with the corny jokes.
