Function & mobility have been huge priorities for my training these past couple months, and it's crazy how much of a difference it's made. It took a lot for me to really step back from what I was doing, and begin focusing more on improving my movement patterns rather than always applying crazy intensity to my workouts.
Ask yourself this.... Do you have any chronic pains or soreness? Are there certain exercises that you avoid altogether because they cause strain to a certain muscle? 🤔 Unless you've had an extremely serious injury, these are usually do to a muscular imbalance or structural problem that CAN be fixed if you're willing to put the work in.
So many of us go through pain each day, and it can be easy for us to fall into the trap of thinking that's just the way things are. That's been me for the past FIVE YEARS, and it literally took me this long to decide that it was time to get serious about addressing the root of the problem. Learn from my mistakes. Put away all the Advil & ibuprofen, and start treating the imbalances that are causing the discomfort in the first place!
