Personal Training isn't always about weight loss, it can be to help with all sorts of goals. For Kate who is a dancer she wanted to improve her strength and general fitness to enhance her dancing. This is what she had to say -
Prior to starting my personal training sessions with Sharon I had been through a number of stressful life events which had made me feel anxious, low and tired. I was also very underweight and had been struggling with debilitating back pain for many years.
After speaking to a friend about getting a personal trainer she recommended Sharon so I decided to go along for a chat to find out more about how she could help me. I had never seen a personal trainer before so I wasn’t sure what to expect, however as soon as I met Sharon she put me at ease and we had a really good chat about how she could help me and I couldn’t wait to get started.
As I was so underweight and had back pain my sessions focused on all over body strength building as opposed to lots of calorie burning cardio work. I have been training with Sharon for just over 4 months now and I can’t believe how far I have come and the results I have seen in such a short space of time. When I started I struggled to lift 10kg but now I am lifting 35kg. My back pain has massively reduced along with all my general aches and pains which is amazing. I have worked really hard to gain weight and as a result of my sessions I have developed muscle definition in my arms and legs which looks great. I can honestly say I feel fitter, stronger and healthier than I have felt in years. Sharon has been so supportive and encouraging and she has really helped me to turn things around.
