The best and easiest way to escape for a moment, meditate, break away from anything that's got you stressed, is to fully absorb yourself into a daily task.
Just for today, fully immerse your mind and attention to one thing for a few minutes. Maybe that's indulging in and savoring a cup of coffee that you'd normally drink while doing something. Maybe it's feeling and smelling the soap as you wash your hands, watching each bubble form and pop. Maybe it's appreciating moments of laughter and really feeling the joy in your belly and heart. Or maybe it's putting all your attention on a fountain or creek or the flutter of a butterfly.
It's when we focus our brain that we actually give our mind the opportunity to break free. We need more of those moments to give our minds a break from the constant to do list that we only continue to add to. Even 30 seconds of your day a few times a day helps.
