So easy wonton soup
I've made some wontons with the most basic ingredients. Great when you want to have some homemade goodness to fix your cravings.
Makes about 30 wontons
200g ground pork
100g square wonton wrapper 3"x3"
1 tablespoon light soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sesame oil
Dash of white pepper
2 stalks green onions, finely chopped
3 cups of chicken or dried anchovy broth
1. Combine all the ingredients together in a bowl. Mix well.
2. Place a teaspoon of filling on the centre of the wrapper, pull 4 corners together to meet at the top, press to seal.
3. Meanwhile, bring a pot of water to boil, drop wontons to cook, stirring gently to avoid wontons sticking to the bottom of the pot. Drain wontons when cooked.
4. Place wontons in serving bowl, ladle broth over. Garnish with some chopped green onions and drizzle with little fried garlic oil.
You may prefer to cook the wontons directly in the broth but I did otherwise to keep the soup clear. .
