It’s Wednesday, which means it’s time to share another homemade sweet treat. These dark chocolate chip blondie bars are so so good! I’m telling ya I couldn’t stop eating them 😂. I hate to say this word, but they’re so “moist” or thanks to @huffposttaste “hydrated”. If something has chocolate, you better believe I’m eating it and coming back for more. Plus, they’re made with a secret ingredient that adds a healthy twist to your typical blondie bars.

I followed @chocolatecoveredkatie recipe and it did not disappoint! She’s a genius and can make some delicious healthified desserts 🙌🏻.

Ingredients:
1 can of chickpeas, drained (yep that’s the secret ingredient)
3/4 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup coconut sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup old fashioned oats
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
Dark chocolate chips
**directions: preheat oven to 350. blend all ingredients (except chocolate chips) in a food processor until smooth. Fold in the chocolate chips and pour into a greased 8x8 pan. For extra chocolate goodness I topped more chips on top right before baking. Bake for 30 minutes and let cool completely before cutting.

God! I thought today was going to be a write off after last night and my mammoth refuelling breakfast cals 🤣 super happy with this and comfortably brimming with protein thanks to these Iceland turkey sausages (swipe). Nice 👌 now to get some bloody sleep 🤣 .

Oh my goodness 😴 I'm uber tired and ready for this meal! I've been a bit stressed about the fact I had spent almost half of my cal allowance by 9am 😂 (refuelling through the night whilst up with little one) but am so thankful for MFP! Nearly had tuna pasta but completely not worth the pasta cals ... so having this and loving it 😋 3 sesame ryvitas, drained grilled antipasta peppers, tbsp of low mayo, water tinned tuna and some yummy tomatoes. All in for 251 cals and 28.5g protein 👌💓
I'm also making a conscious effort not to attach myself by IV to the nespresso machine today and am glugging the water instead ... now that's fucking PROGRESS for me!! 🤣🤣🤣

We had a long night 😣 poor little lady with teeth popping again making her ear ache terribly as well 😭 swipe for the protein bar I inhaled at about 3am to fuel the pacing cuddles downstairs (she's not as dainty as she used to be 🤣) that I've added on to my breakfast to account for it. Peanut butter porridge with almond "milk", shake and coffee (couldn't fit the banana in after). It's going to be a long old day ...
820 cals altogether with 53g protein. .
