I'm not sure where this whole thing started...maybe Dr. Atkins had something to do with it...but anyway, fruit is not the problem.

I've had clients ask "should I cut back on the fruit" because they have a bit a breakfast and some for a snack later in the day, yet at night they go to town on a jar of peanut butter or a bag of buttery popcorn or go for that 3rd serving of pasta at dinner.

So it's pretty clear that, fruit is NOT the problem, but I think we kind of want it to be.

Because in a way, it might feel easier to have a black and white answer like "cut out fruit because it's too high in sugar" rather than figure out why you can't stop sticking that spoon back in the peanut butter jar.

Bottom line: Eat the fruit, and if you can, pair it with some protein to keep your blood sugar stable and up the satisfaction factor.

[Let's talk about confidence!] When my #FreshFitFearless clients start coaching with me, they all have different goals and different struggles, which means I use different approaches for each of them.

The one thing they all have in common, though? They want more CONFIDENCE!

What I tell anyone who wants to grow their confidence is that they have to start doing the stuff that makes them feel uncomfortable, maybe even insecure. They have to take the risks.

And that's where we develop confidence.

We do the scary things and realize it's actually not so scary, and whatever the outcome, we can handle it! Then we start taking bigger risks, and bigger and bigger and bigger until we realize how unstoppable we actually are when we stop holding ourselves back because of our excuses and insecurities.
