✧ Can you heal your skin while eating meat?
I have learned that it really just depends on where your body is at. For some, the dense nature of animal products can be a burden on digestion, which can slow the whole body down. Meat is a tough food to break down. This isn’t the meat’s fault— it’s just catering to our body’s needs + knowing when it needs a break from that heavy duty work.
In my own healing process I embed and flowed between plantbased + paleo style living. Paleo helped my skin at one time but severely impacted the rest of my body, which has been so hard to recover from.
The fact is, it’s not easy going raw or even just plant based these days. As we do, our bodies start to release and stir up decades of toxicity (even lifetimes as toxins are passed generationally) that is can be incredibly overwhelming to deal with.
So what’s the answer? Only you can discover that for yourself. Experimentation is how we discover our own truth and what works. Sometimes we need to go off track to know what DOESN’T work. That’s actually a really good thing because it clarifies what does work. It’s funny how falling off the wagon can actually build our faith. Listening to our own inner nudges are the only way through this thing.

I’m curious what your process has been like, too. What have you experimented with in order to heal? What worked? What didn’t? xo
