It's not that typical yoga stretches DON'T have their place in a routine. They absolutely DO. However, for stiff, dense, tight people...they need a little more.
If I had never discovered ballistic stretching, targeted tissue work, loaded stretching and more - I'm certain I'd never achieve the splits.
What was missing? End range strength + “nudging” my range farther and farther with Ballistics.
