"Oyedepo book de sell for N700, who you be to sell N1,000?
Yesterday while facilitating my session for consultants on Mastering The Business of Consulting, I emphasized a great way to instantly establish your authority and influence in the market is to publish a book.
Yes, that's a great thing to do, but then, I want to share a little background gist.
When I was writing my first book back in 2010, I didn't tell anyone. I felt the world would run to my door by the time they behold the beauty of the "baby book." The excitement of being an author was feverish. I felt that by the time I birthed the baby, people would rush and scoop all of them.
How wrong I was.
By the time the book came out, only my colleagues and a few family friends paid for copies. For many of them, I collected the N1,000 for the book after waiting for two months.
Thank God I was able to pay off N200,000 loan I had borrowed to add to the N200,000 I raised to publish the book.
My church people were pricing my N1,000 book for N500. Chai ooo... Thereafter, selling became hectic. At that time, I had not become a heretic, so I was just content on the traditional mode I had read about - keeping the books with booksellers.

But then, a baby monkey doesn't remain a baby monkey. Today, I've grown. I've become a guerilla. I've become a no-nonsense businessman when it comes to my works as an author. I've become a serial author since then, grossing over a million via only ebooks.
What was the difference?

From tomorrow and for 15 days, I will commence sharing every 8 p.m on my Facebook timeline, my page and in my writing community on book marketing strategies for authors.
If you know me, I love the books, but I also flip the works in
