Went to visit Jostedalsbreen glacier on a cold, rainy Norwegian summer's day. The place was empty but for two people: @evisnes and @janniss_wuhu who were getting undressed to go for a swim in the lake created by melting glacier water. It looked like the coldest thing imaginable. I asked them if they were actually going to go swimming. They said yes and that they were hoping to enter a contest for a Norwegian TV channel that does a daily photo contest feature on weather around the country with a theme. The days theme was about going for a swim no matter what the weather or conditions. I never volunteer to take pictures of people but this was a deserving exception! I really wanted to capture them running into the water mainly because the Southern Californian in me was in awe of such heartiness. So this is the picture. And they won. Can't imagine how they wouldn't have. In a country of extremes this is pretty much the limit! Congratulations guys!!!
