Had a sort out in my workroom at home... haven’t been in here for about 6 months as my daughter was using it as a GCSE revision space. I’ve just peeled all the history, maths and post it notes off the wall 😫 eugh, she ‘and’ me are glad to see the back of those pieces of paper forever! 👎🏽 Now it’s light and lovely again ready for more creative projects, which I’m just starting to think about. Even though my kids are grown and we are (finally) no longer governed by the school holidays, August is still down time for me/us. And it’s non negotiable. Hanging out with my family has always been a priority, so whatever sacrifices we have to make along the way and extra hours we have to work throughout the rest of the year, we’re prepared to do it to enjoy as much of the Summer together as possible.
We still juggle the shop and some admin stuff between us but at a much slower pace. Making the most of the quiet season in store. Instead of worrying what we should be doing, we just do enough to keep things going. There’s a difference 😉 it didn’t happen overnight but we got there eventually.
How about you?.. if you’re a small business owner are you managing to squeeze in some downtime?.. or finding it stressful to keep everything going?.. x x x
