What are ‘Air Volume Spacers’ used for in @ridefoxaustralia suspension?!?! Up until this year I had no idea 🤷🏼♂️ To put it simply, if you’re a more aggressive or heavier rider (like myself) they stop you blowing through your travel and bottoming out the fork. The volume spacers allows you to run lower air pressures for a better suspension feel. I’m not an expert at all, but I noticed a big difference when adding volume spacers to my #Fox36, #Fox34 and #Fox32 forks. The suspension loads up more towards the end of the travel and has a less linear feel. The more technical term is increasing the compression ratio or decreasing by removing volume spacers. I’m using 3 air volume spacers in my new 36’s 🤙🏼 You can also add or remove Air Volume Spacers to the rear shock for different compression ratios.
