"If you can tune into your purpose and really align with it, setting goals so that your vision is an expression of that purpose, then life flows much more easily." ~ Jack Canfield.
Sooooo, initially my doctors told me I MIGHT be ready to paddle again 4 months after my surgery. Today I found out about an awesome race on January 21 in the BVI, which would be exactly 4 months to the day since my surgery. The HOPE of possibly racing again in a few months has renewed my drive to train. Monday starts a new Paddle Monster training cycle, with a focus on land training, strength and conditioning. Along with that, my personal focus is to dial in the nutrition and to continue to rehab like it's my job.
For #flashbackfriday I chose a photo from Riverthon, my last race before the surgery. I crushed that race, despite the grueling conditions, taking 1st place women by 31 minutes and 1st place in the 12'6" board class. Looking back on Riverthon, and really the whole 2016 season, has me super pumped to work my ass off to be better, stronger and faster than ever in 2017. But I don't need to tell you that when I can just show you. Stay tuned.... 🏄#paddlelikeagirl 📸 PC: @dubbtake Keegan Kruse, Kruse Visuals
