Happy #pinchamonday! Was working on my holds in #tuck #pincha yesterday. Holds getting stronger though this feels like my thighs are super close to my chest and well... nope 🤣 Gotta work on strengthening those hip flexors!

Today I am feeling 90% better. Except for the headache I have held onto all weekend, I no longer have flu like symptoms and for that I am grateful.
Can you tell #headstand is my favorite thing to practice? I love the focus you need on breath and balance. But, also finding comfort in the pose to transition or even hold the pose for some time. 💜

🔻High lunge is a foundational standing pose, but it is important to understand the alignment so you can build it to more complex poses. Please refer to my video in my last pose especially for a pelvis tip! .

✔️ PROPS for better access :

✏️ Slide 2 :
.
1/ Use a CHAIR to work on the twist aspect of the lunge with less stress on the lower body. Step through the back of the chair and use the back to leverage your twist.
.
2/ Another way to use a CHAIR is to reach for the back of the chair to work toward a bind. Switch the chair so you are sitting sideways.
.
3/ Place your front foot on a BLOCK to create more space in your torso for twisting. Especially helpful if you have more upper body mass.
.
4/ Switch that up & place the BLOCK under your back foot to deepen the twist.
.
