Vegetarian Lasagne on #meatfreefriday. I'm not sure if this is a legit recipe cos I just improvised with whatever I had. Anyways #Barilla lasagne sheets are great, #easytouse and #foolproof.
My girls polished off everything so I guessed it's a new meatfree dish at my house.
8 pcs Barilla lasagne sheets
1 large stick celery- chopped
1 small carrot-chopped
2 cloves garlic-chopped
1 can of tomato soup 🤣
1) In a saucepan, saute all vegetables in a little oil for 5 mins. Pour in tomato soup. Let it boil. Set aside
2 tbsp oil
2 tbsp butter
3 tbsp flour
2 cups milk
1 cup cheddar cheese
1 tsp chicken stock powder
Salt/ black pepper
1) In a small pot, put in oil then butter. Once melted add in flour, stir will a whisk. Make sure doesnt burn. After 2 mins, add in milk then cheese, whisk till smooth. Add salt, pepper and chicken powder. Set aside .
I added 1 boiled potato, sliced to make it more filling.
** Assemble in an ovenproof dish. I started with lasagne sheet followed by tomato sauce, cheese sauce and potato slices. Repeat till finish. Sprinkle the top layer with cheese..
** Baked at 200deg C for 20 mins.
